STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — With warm weather finally making its way to Staten Island, the time has come for annual spring cleaning.
Assemblywoman Nicole Malliotakis (R-East Shore/Brooklyn), the New Dorp High School Key Club and the Verrazano Kiwanis Club held the first in a series of spring cleanups Saturday afternoon.
“We need to do our part to make sure that we keep our parks and recreational areas clean. It’s not only important for the beautification of our community, but it’s important for the environment and our wildlife,” said Malliotakis.
