Verrazano Kiwanis Charter Night
On August 26, 2016, the newly formed Verrazano Kiwanis Club celebrated their Charter Night. The event took place at Ariana’s South in Staten Island, and turned out to be a great success.
The event started off with an introduction by the Richmond County President, Nicholas Mardikos, and also included remarks from Lt. Governor Don Pagano, induction of members, and presentation of awards and certificates by Governor Forbes Irvine. All the members were introduced, given a Kiwanis pin and received a certificate of Charter Membership. The group includes dedicated business owners and amazing individuals. Each member shows dedication to the group and a desire to give back and help the community by supporting great causes.
The officers of the new Verrazano Kiwanis Club include Michele Tosic, President, Courtney Gallagher, President Elect, Joe Bertone, Vice President, Michele Crupi, Secretary, and Anthony Focca, Treasurer. The Directors include Steve Argentine, Jacqueline Filis, Celia Iervasi, and George Passariello. Total members include over 30 individuals.
The charter night also included dinner, DJ, 50/50, and a comedy show. The event had a number of amazing sponsors, a great crowd of supporters, and positivity sparkled all the way through. It was a great start for a remarkable group.
