Verrazano Kiwanis Club disburses $50K to local charities, celebrates 2nd anniversary
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — There’s no denying $50,000 is a lot of money and that’s exactly how much the Verrazano Kiwanis Club raised this year.
And what’s more, 100 percent of the monies were disbursed to Staten Island charities at the Second Anniversary Dinner Dance & Awards Banquet held Sept. 20 at Ariana’s South, 60 Bridge St. in Charleston.
The checks were presented to local organizations, in addition to saluting community leaders for there outstanding community service this year.
